Pastor Edwin was born in Westbury, NY and Pastor Takeya was born in Charlotte, NC. They were married on June 12, 1999 at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC; where Edwin was first called to be a Deacon.
Edwin was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in September 2000 and he was Ordained in July 2002. Between those years they had 2 sons: Edwin II and Daniel were born. They were blessed to give birth to their only daughter Aamereal in Dec 2009 in Chandler, AZ.
In 2001-2005 Edwin and Takeya help co-found a new Church plant in the Charlotte area named New Birth Missionary Baptist Church where Edwin was the Associate Pastor and Takeya was the Praise & Worship Leader.
In 2004 Edwin earned a Diploma in Biblical Studies from Liberty Bible Institute in Lynchburg, VA.
Takeya was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on April 2005. She was Ordained in July 2011
In Oct. 2005 Edwin & Takeya received a certificate of completion for Church Planters from NC Baptist Assembly; NAMB,SBC
In the summer of 2005 God birthed in Edwin and Takeya to launch their own ministry called Reaching Back Christian Ministries. It spanned cross several states while serving Gods people from Charlotte, NC (2005-2006) to Chandler, AZ (2006-2010) to Coon Rapids, MN (2010-2012), Kent, WA (2012-2021) and now we are in Kannapolis, NC. God has called us to reach the lost in their surrounding communities.
They believe the Word/Love of God can make any dead place in us to LIVE life more abundantly.
